Wilma I. Savage

Wilma I. Savage, age 100, passed away, on Dec. 14, 2010, at Millers Merry Manor in Tipton, Ind.
Mrs. Savage was born, on Jan. 16, 1910, in Sparta, to Erastus and Minnie (Hutson) Goodwin.
On Sept. 13, 1926, Wilma married Clura George Savage and he preceded her in death on May 3, 1992.
She was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Sparta and the Church of Christ in Tipton, Ind.
She was employed at D.A. Murray in Tipton, Ind., retiring in 1971.
Survivors include her two children; Dimple W. Atchley of Tipton, Ind. and Delva L. Savage of West Palm Beach, Fla., along with siblings; Taylor Goodwin of Chattanooga and Shirley Eller of Cookville. Also surviving are eight grand children, 10 great grand children, seven great great grand children, and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sons, James A. and Billy E. Goodwin and siblings Charles, Ike, Clyde and James Goodwin and a sister Margaret Burgess.
Funeral services were held, on Dec. 20, 2010, at 1 p.m., at Hunter Funeral Home, in Sparta, with visitation from 10 a.m. to the time of service.
Pastor Don Burns officiated. Interment took place at the Goodwin Family Cemetery, in Sparta.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
