Preschoolers from Woodland Park Elementary recently visited a White County strawberry patch and enjoyed a day of strawberry picking and farm fun.

As the school year is coming to an end, students and teachers are utilizing this time period for fun and educational learning opportunities. On May 8, 2018, Mrs. Cunningham’s pre-school class at Woodland Park Elementary School visited Amazin’ Acres of Fun, in White County.

The class was one of several pre-school classes, in White County, that have taken an end-of-year field trip to Amazin’ Acres for a day of fun activities. The children learned about how strawberries are grown and were able to roam through the strawberry patch and pick their own strawberries.

Amazin’ Acres of Fun, at 2857 Old Kentucky Rd., in Sparta, provides agricultural-based education opportunities for students of all ages.
