Flossie Tinsley, 90, of Red Boiling Springs, passed away June 26, 2003.
Tinsley was born Dec. 7, 1912, in Jackson County, to William Spivey and Nancy Brown Spivey.
She was a member of Lafayette Church of Christ and had been a homemaker.
Tinsley was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Kay Tinsley and four brothers, Bedford, Mack Roscoe and Comer Spivey.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Ruby and Kenneth Swan of Lafayette; one son, Roy Tinsley of Hendersonville; two sisters, Vera Fletcher of Sparta and Flora Likens of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Ryan Henderson, Rachel Henderson, Andrew Weaver and Caleb weaver;

Vernon Clinton Black, 78, of Oak Ridge, passed away June 21, 2003, at Methodist Medical Center, in Oak Ridge.
Black was born May 21, 1925, in the Ravenscroft community, of White County, to Andy Black and Ersia Dotson.
He was a member Trinity United Methodist Church and Faith Masonic Lodge #756. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Black was also retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems after 36 years.
Black was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Lloyd Black; and one sister, Leola Black.

Rev. Danny Ray Payne 49, of Sparta, passed away June 21, 2003, at White County Community Hospital.
Payne was born Dec. 31, 1953, in Whitwell, to Joe Parker Payne and Jessie Faye Green Payne Dukes.
He was a minister.
Payne was preceded in death by his parents.
