James Haskell ‘Big Jim’ Robinson, 94, of Sparta, passed away Oct. 25, 2004.
Robinson was born Nov. 13, 1909, in DeKalb County, to James S. Robinson and Gracey West Robinson.
He was a retired security guard.
Robinson was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pearl Hale Robinson; four brothers; four sisters; and two grandchildren.

Virginia Ruth Hutchings Kirby, 74, of Sparta, passed away Oct. 19, 2004.
Kirby was born Feb. 24, 1930, in White County, to William Waymon Hutchings and Minnie Lee Rice Hutchings.
She was a retired grocery store owner.
Kirby was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Carlon Hutchings.

Raymond Morgan, 25, of Sparta, passed away Oct. 17, 2004.
Morgan was born Feb. 1, 1979, in Putnam County, to Joe Morgan and Margaret Jean Teeples Welch.
He had been a self-employed painter.
Morgan was preceded in death by his stepfather, Billy Welch and his grandfather, Joseph Morgan.

Allen Eugene “Gene” Brock, 69, of Crossville, formerly of Sparta, passed away Oct. 13, 2004.
Brock was born Dec. 1, 1934, in Cumberland County, to Harry Eugene Brock and Clara Green Brock.
He was retired from the U.S. Army.

Elmer Wesley Seals, 71, of Walling, passed away Oct. 8, 2004.
Seals was born March 1, 1933, in White County, to Overton Wesley Seals and Marjorie Faye Shallmon Seals.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam wars.
Seals was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
