Kenneth Slatton, 96, of Doyle, passed away July 31, 2005.
Slatton was born April 9, 1909, in Van Buren County, to William Edward and Lillian Simons Slatton.
He had been a retired farmer and school bus driver.
Slatton was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Violet Slatton; one son, Carl Melton Slatton; three brothers, Russell Tullas, Houston and Ray Slatton; and great-grandmother, Jennifer Slatton.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Dorothy Slatton, of Doyle; two grandchildren and spouses, Robert and Joyce Slatton, of Doyle, Jim and Joan Slatton, of McMinnville; three great-grandchildren, Misty Slatton, of McMinnville, Justin Slatton, of Murfreesboro, Courtney Daniel, of Franklin; one … CONTINUED

Noah Thurston Billings

Noal Thurston Billings, 80, of Sparta, passed away July 29, 2005.
Billings was born Jan. 17, 1925, in DeKalb County, to James Alvin Billings and Lucy Jane Hayes Billings.
He had been a farmer and carpenter.
Billings was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Opal West, Edna Pirtle; and one brother, James Roy Billings.
