Deputy discovers meth lab

A noise complaint resulted in a deputy finding a meth lab outside a residence in Doyle, at approximately 9:45 p.m., on Mar. 26.
According to Detective Dale Bumbalough with White County Sheriff Department, Deputy Joey Williams was dispatched to the residence on Meeks Street about complaints of a generator, being used to provide electricity to the residence.
The noise was reportedly keeping neighbors from being able to sleep.
Williams stated no one answered when he knocked on the front door.

Woman pronounced dead after crash

Crash scene. The driver of this Buick Century is suspected of having a medical issue at the time of the crash, on Mar. 30, at the intersection of Smithville Highway and Simpson Road.

A Walling woman was pronounced dead, on Mar. 30, after an early morning crash on Smithville Highway, at the intersection of Simpson Road.
According to Trooper William Morgan with Tennessee Highway Patrol, Katherine Johnson, 79, was traveling east on Smithville Highway in a white 1999 Buick Century.
Morgan stated the vehicle left the roadway and went into the westbound ditch line.
