Linda Paulette Baylock, 69, of Sparta, passed away Sept. 25, 2011 at White County Community Hospital.
Mrs. Blaylock was born April 8, 1942, to Matthew and Rachael McCann Davis.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Hershel Blaylock, of Sparta; three children, Sandra Paul, Ronnie Blaylock, Hershel Blaylock Jr. and wife Charlene, all of Sparta; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Simmons, of Sparta, Inez Waymire, of Indiana; and three brothers, Gene Davis, Carl Davis, both of Florida, and Jerry Davis, of Indiana.

Willie Floyd Young, 69, of Sparta, passed away Sept. 23, 2011, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, in Nashville.
Mr. Young was born May 1, 1942, in White County, to Dillard and Lizzie McCauley Young.
He worked several years at Thomas Industries and preached at Roberts Street Church of Christ.
Mr. Young was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Troy Young.

Richard (Dick) Michael Andrea

Richard (Dick) Michael Andrea, 76, of Sparta, passed away Sept. 22, 2011, at White County Community Hospital.
Mr. Andrea was born Oct. 13, 1934, in Woodside, N.Y, to Joseph Emial and Frances Cabasino Andrea.
He was a retired accountant and served 10 years in the U.S. Air Force in Korea. Mr. Andrea was a member of the Elks Lodge where he was an esquire. He also was an avid gun and knife collector.

Wildcats spoil Warrior homecoming

Homecoming queen. Lacey Clark, escorted by her dad, Ben, was crowned homecoming queen during halftime of Friday's game.

Livingston Academy’s Wildcats spoiled homecoming for WCHS for the second time out of the last three seasons.
The Warrior offense never was able to get rolling during the contest while the defense had trouble slowing down the Wildcats on the other side of the bal as Livingston took the 31-0 victory dropping the Warriors to 1-5 overall. 
During halftime of the game, Lacey Clark was crowned the 2011 homecoming queen.

Harold J. Rogers, 60, of Doyle passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011 at White County Hospital.
Mr. Rogers was born Dec. 26, 1950, in White County, Hershel and Clara Lee Williams Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Rogers and wife Elizabeth.
Survivors include his brothers, Jerry Rogers and wife Bonnie, of Quebeck, Marty Rogers and wife Mary Beth, of Doyle; special uncle, Hollis Rogers and wife Diana, of Doyle; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

William C. (Bill) Sparks, 80, passed away Sept. 15, 2011.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Myree; son Joe and wife Darlene; granddaughter, Heather Parks and husband Adam; grandson, William Sparks and wife Taryn; five brothers and their families; and three sisters and their families.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Sept. 25, 2011, at O’Connor Church of Christ.

Joe Thomas Haston, 84, passed away Sept. 16, 2011, at Cookeville Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Haston was born March 7, 1927, in Van Buren County, to Philip Moore Haston and Beulah Humphrey Haston.
He spent many years at Kirby’s Auto Parts, Dixie Auto Parts, and also Fall Creek Falls State Park.
Mr. Haston was preceded in death by his parents and brother, P.H. Haston.
