A multitude of learning scheduled for women’s show

Many women’s clinics are slated to be offered at the second annual Upper Cumberland Showcase for Women to keep attendees busy throughout the day.
The women’s show, scheduled for 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on April 13, will have many merchants offering learning clinics for attendees.
Clinics already scheduled include:
-Oreck vacuum demonstrations — Morgan Furniture Center
-Beauty tips — Styled and Polished
– Real Estate tips — Century 21
-Planting tips — White County Farmer’s Co-op
-Interior design tips — Jongee’s Gifts
– Blood pressure checks and cholesterol screenings — White County Community Hospital
-How to clean jewelry — Big J Jewelry
-Auction and real estate tips — Tri-Star Real Estate
-Introduction of new skin care line — White County Women’s Healthcare
-Pampered Chef product demonstrations — Jody Sliger
-Fern care — J & J Produce
-Visual display tips by Home Interior — Gayle Brock
-How to create a silk arrangement — Unique Designs
-Policy seminars — Mike Ryan of AFLAC
In addition, Kroger will be offering free food samples, the Senior Circle will present bingo games throughout the day, and Audible Hearing and Diagnostic Center will show videos.
Tickets are currently on sale for the 2002 Upper Cumberland Showcase for Women at The Expositor and various community businesses.
Tickets are $5 and their number is limited.
They will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, twenty percent of ticket sales will be donated to fund a nursing scholarship at Tennessee Technological University for White County students.
Entertainment will be provided by the White County High School Drama Club who will be presenting highlights from the musical, Hello Dolly! and door prizes will be awarded throughout the day, including the grand prize of a $3,000 shopping spree donated by Morgan Furniture Center and four free beauty make overs offered by Styled and Polished.
