Elza C. Spivey

Elza C. Spivey, 73, passed away on January 28, 2002.
Spivey was born on February 25, 1928, in Jackson County.
He was a retired bricklayer and a World War II veteran.
His parents were Bedford Spivey and Little Rosette Emerton Spivey.
He was preceded in death by his mother; two daughters, Mary Cynthia Spivey and Janet Faye Spivey; his wife, Mary Alice Williams Spivey; and son, Billy D. Spivey.
Survivors include his wife Sharon Hauskins of Springfield; Shirley Ann Draught of Ravenscroft,
Rita Rosetta Parris of Midland, North Carolina; Katherine Richie of Ravenscroft, Tennessee; Barbara Jarney of Gastonia, N. C.; three sons, Bennie Spivey, Senior, of Sparta; Elza Spivey Jr. of Gatonia, N. C.; Doug Hauskins of Springfield; father Bedford Spivey; four brothers Clyde Spivey of Sparta; Wayne Spivey of Doyle; Sammy Spivey of Cookeville; Ronnie Spivey of Crossville; three sisters Christine Brady of Franklin, Ky.; Wilma Brady of Adairville, Ky.; Virginia Presley of Livingston; 16 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Jan. 31, 2002, at Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Smith Chapel Cemetery.
Dale Simmons will officiate.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
