Expositor receives 17 awards at TPA contest

The staff and management of The Expositor are proud to announce the recent winnings at Tennessee Press Association ‘Ideas Contest.’
The awards are a collective effort of all departments and exemplify the high level of creativity that is exemplified by all those who help produce the twice-weekly newspaper.
David Smith, owner of The Expositor, congratulated Jim Shanks, Expositor publisher, for the staff’s efforts. Shanks, who has been with The Expositor since January 2007, said he is ecstatic about the awards.
Tennessee newspapers are divided into five specific categories. The Expositor won the following awards in its designated category.
•Best Special Section, second place
•Self-Promotion of a Newspaper, second place
•Best Black and White Ad, first place
•Best Feature Page or Pages, second place
•Best one-fourth page or smaller Ad, second place
•Best Food Store Ad, third place
•Best Automotive Ad, first place
•Best Real Estate Ad, first place
•Best Real Estate Ad, third place
•Subscription Promotion Ad, third place
•Best Newspaper in Education Promotion, first place
• Best Newspaper in Education Promotion, second place
•Best Newspaper in Education Promotion, third place
•Best Internet Banner or Tile Ad, first place
•Best Internet Banner or Tile Ad, second place
•Best Internet Banner or Tile Ad, third place
•Best Classified Section, first place
