Fred G. Simmons

Fred G. Simmons, 73, of Sparta, passed away Nov. 20, 2002, at White County Community Hospital.
Simmons served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He had been a Master Mason with the Donleson Masonic Lodge and was a retired business agent for the Carpenters Council.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther H. and Nannie Lou Davis Simmons.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Simmons of Sparta; three daughters, Jerri Lynn Neely of Donelson, Kristy Hennessee of Mt. Juliet and Brenda Reed of Battle Creek, Mich.; five sons, Terry Lee Simmons of Dallas, Texas, Freddy Joe Simmons and Donald Ray Simmons both of Battle Creek, Mich., Rick Meurer of Indiana and Rodger Dale Meurer of California; four brothers, Donald Simmons of Sparta, Charles Simmons of Battle Creek, Mich., J.D. Simmons of Florida and Herbert Simmons of Gladeville; and 10 grandchildren.
Services were held at 1 p.m., Nov. 22, 2002, at Hunter Funeral Home.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
