Jennie “Rhea” Davis

Jennie “Rhea” Measles Davis, 79, of Quebeck, passed away March 28, 2019, at Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital, in Sparta.

Mrs. Davis was born Oct. 16, 1939, in Van Buren County, to Alfred C. Measles and Pearl Maynard Measles.

She was a member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Earl Wayne Davis, of Quebeck; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Mike Hale, of Quebeck; grandchildren, Michael Hale and wife Paulina, Anna Nicole Hale; great-grandchild, Ashton Davis Hale; two sisters, Willie Ruth Martin, of Spencer, Alma Jean Sparkman, of Spencer; and several nieces, nephews, numerous friends, and close relatives.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., March 30, 2018, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in the Skurlock Cemetery. Doug Benningfield will officiate. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m., March 29, at the funeral home.

Deacons of Hickory Valley Baptist Church, as well as Bruce Moorehead and Kenneth Jones, will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be John McCord and Larry Thompson.

Memorials may be made to Gideons International Memorial Bible Program by contacting the funeral home.

Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
