John Edward Kerr

John Edward Kerr, 70, of Spencer, passed away April 23, 2002, at White County Community Hospital.
Kerr was born July 7, 1931, White County, to Williams Franes Kerr and Amanda Loreen Simmons Kerr.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a logger.
Kerr was preceded in death by one son, Donald Kerr; one daughter, Debbie Kerr; and one sister, Judy Sullivan.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Melton Kerr of Spencer; four sons, Ronnie Kerr Whitwell and Dudley Kerr, Lynn Kerr and David Kerr all of Spencer; three daughters, Sharon Kerr
and Kathy Kerr both of Whitwell; two step sons, James (J.R.) McCormick and Daniel Hale; two brothers, Bill Kerr of Illinois and Ray Kerr of Tullahoma; six sisters, Ruth Mary, Shirley, Betty, Marilyn and Catherine; and several grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., April 26, 2002, at Faith Trinity Assembly in Spencer with burial in Keener Hill Cemetery. William Wanamaker will officiate.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
