On Dec. 7, White County Public Library hosted its fourth annual Snacks with Santa event.
108 children, along with just over 100 adults, were able to experience that joy and wonder of Christmas when they stopped by this year’s popular event and took time to visit Santa and give him their Christmas wish lists.
Participants were also able to enjoy decorating cookies and eating Christmas snacks while they were at the library. Craft activities, including making Christmas cards and decorating paper trees and gingerbread men, were also available for those who really wanted to get into the Christmas spirit.
The event, which was staffed by members of the Friends of the Library group as well as teen volunteers, is always one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the season for participants and staff members alike.
“This event is one of my favorites here at the library,” Dana Gorter, children’s librarian, said. “I love seeing the joy and wonder of the holiday season on the children’s faces.”
