Louis Allen Ross

Louis Allen Ross, 98, passed from this life to the next on Nov. 16, 2019, just seven days after his wife, Jean Killgore Ross, left her earthly home.

Mr. Ross was born Sept. 14, 1921, in Meshack, Kentucky, to Sam and Thelma Ross.

After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Mr. Ross answered the call to serve his country and joined the Army Air Corps where he served as a Radio Operator on B-24s in the Pacific Theater. He received the Air Medal for bravery. Out of the original 36 crews in his reconnaissance group, his was the only one to survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be 2 p.m., Nov. 17, 2019, at Central Church of Christ. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., at the church.

Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
