Mary Louise Smith Verble, 93, of Sparta, passed away April 29, 2010, at Life Care Center of Sparta.
Mrs. Verble was born May 15, 1916, in White County, to James M. and Vesta Shuster Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nolen Rye Verble; son, John William Verble; and a brother, J.W. Smith.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Clark and husband Erbie, of Sparta; two sons, Gerald (Jerry) Thomas Verble and wife Anita, of Murfreesboro, Jimmy Smith Verble and wife Sue, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Mary Lou Fornehed and husband Olof, Leah Wilson and husband Lane, Jeff Verble, Vicki Latka, Stephanie Weber, Candace Verble, Melody Verble, Jim Verble, Michelle Verble, Vonda Passons; great-grandchildren, Jonas Fornehed, Clark Wilson, Jack Wilson, and several other great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., May 2, 2010, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Cemetery. Terry Jolley will officiate. The family will receive friends from noon until time for the service on May 2.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
