Nicole Jeanne Griffin, 19, of Livingston, passed away Oct. 20, 2005, at her home after a three-year battle with cancer.
Griffin was born June 10, 1986, in Amsterdam, N.Y., to Cindy Hamilton Terry.
She was a senior at Livingston Academy, where she received an honorary diploma during the homecoming celebration on Sept. 30, 2005.
She was a member of the Livingston congregation of Jehovah Witnesses. Nikie was well known and loved by the community, friends and family. She had a warm, bubbly heart and a contagious smile. She taught people how to love, live and laugh.
Griffin was preceded in death by her stepfather, Tony Hamilton; grandfather, Ken Moffitt; and great uncle, Ernest Cantrell.
Survivors include her mother; two sisters, Kayla Griffin, of Livingston, and Jennifer Hamilton, of Smithville; brother, Anthony Hamilton Jr., of Allons; two grandmothers, Sharon Moffitt, of Sparta, and Agnes Hamilton, of Livingston; one aunt, Pam Moffitt, of Smithville; one great-aunt, Eva Cantrell, of Smithville, two uncles, Ken Moffitt, of New Mexico, and Tim Moffitt and wife, Megan, of Sparta; two special cousins, Sam and Sophie Moffitt, of Sparta; step-father, Paul Terry; step-grandparents, Allan and Linda Terry, all of Livingston.
Services were 6 p.m., Oct. 24, 2005, at Livingston Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness with interment in Bethlehem Cemetery, in Overton County. Bro. Ron Thompson officiated.

Algood chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
