Paul Edgar Goff

Paul Edgar Goff, 85, of Sparta, passed away April 8, 2005.
Goff was born Sept. 9, 1919, to Ernest Edgar Goff and Mattie Mae Baker Goff.
He had been a carpenter and vocational teacher.
Goff was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Florida Isabell Goff; one brother, Cecil Richard ‘Bud’ Goff; and one sister, Florida Marie ‘Tudie’ Lockwood.
Survivors include one daughter, Hilda Holman and husband, Bob, of Sparta; one son, Richard Goff and wife Carolyn, of Knoxville; four grandchildren, Rhonda Gayle Smith and husband Andy, of Sparta, Paul Eric Holman, of Gardendale, Ala., Richard Dale Goff and wife, Teresa, of Knoxville, David Wade Goff, of Birmingham, Ala.; three sisters, Jennie Short, Faye Sapp, both of Sparta, Ernestine Bennett, of Chesterfield, Ind.; one brother, Bobby Goff and wife, Norma, of Knoxville; and five great-grandchildren, Baven Scott Hill, Andrea Leigh-Ann Smith, Holly Marie Smith, Kendale Colton Goff and Victoria Hunter Goff.
Services will be 8 p.m., April 11, 2005, at Bear Cove Baptist Church with burial in Old Bon Air Cemetery. Jerry Pullum, Greg Keller, Jason Warden and Jerry Young will officiate.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
