Steve Grissom, of Freedom Pawn, has always been an avid supporter of law enforcement and is proud to present a GPS unit to Chief Deputy Tommy Simmons and Sheriff Oddie Shoupe.

Alan Tatum, owner of Payless Family Pharmacy, spearheaded the drive to obtain the GPS units.

Payless Family Pharmacy is spearheading a drive to supply Garmin GPS units to every deputy’s squad car at White County Sheriff Department.
“We saw a need in the community and realized we could make a difference,” said Alan Tatum, owner of Payless. “For months, we have head from law enforcement, EMS, as well as from the general public, about the delay in response time due to the many new areas that have grown up in the county.”
To start the drive, Payless Family Pharmacy is donating one GPS unit and issuing a challenge to every business in White County to do the same. If a business or individual is unable to donate a GPS unit, but still wants to help, Payless will be collecting funds to purchase additional units.
Drop off a check at Payless and note in the memo portion of the check “GPS for Sheriff.”
