Pressed 4 Time Café, at 28 N. Main St., has been serving up freshly-made pressed sandwiches and homemade soups for a year.
“We really appreciate the business we get from the community here,” said Rhonda Benz, who owns the restaurant with her fiancé, Michael Parks. “We have put a lot of time and work into this business and into this location. We decided that now was the time to celebrate, and what better way to do that than with a ribbon cutting.”
The shop, which is quickly outgrowing its small corner location, is open 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, serving up lunches that include the top-selling Reuben as well as several other sandwiches all made with meat that has been slow-roasted in house. Pressed 4 Time is also open 5-9 p.m., on Friday.
“We provide delivery service for the patrons at Happy Trails Brewery on Friday night, but we are also open for dine-in or carry-out as well,” explained Benz.
Benz added, “Our sandwiches provide something different for this area, and the community has really embraced us and seems to enjoy the different flavor we bring to Sparta with the pressed sandwiches.”
Benz said that all of the soups and sides as well as a variety of sweet-heat, garlic and dill pickles are also all made at her shop.
“Our spicy slaw seems to be a local favorite,” she explained. “People really like to add that as a side with their sandwiches.”
Benz said she is also available to cater meetings or events, and they provide a delivery service for schools, factories, and businesses that place a minimum of five orders.
“We really enjoy the community here, so we have plans to continue to grow and expand,” said Benz. “In fact, customers should be on the lookout for our fall menu coming out next month with new menu items.”
