Putnam County deputies arrest armed and dangerous Texas fugitive

Putnam County Sheriff’s Office deputies took an armed and dangerous fugitive into custody, on Nov. 26. PCSO Warrants Division received information that Michael D. Whitaker, who was considered armed and dangerous with a knife, had been sighted around Elmore Town Road, in Baxter, driving a white Ford truck. Deputies located Whitaker at a residence in Baxter. PCSO Deputies from the Warrants, Patrol and K-9 Divisions responded and set up a perimeter at the residence. Whitaker was then taken into custody without incident.

Michael Whitaker was on parole out of Dallas County, Texas. He is wanted by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Parole Division. He is wanted in Putnam County for interference with emergency calls and domestic assault.

    Armed and dangerous…..with a knife.
    This is a first for me. Most men carry knives but, are not considered ‘armed and dangerous’. Surely there is more to this story.
