Sonic Shootout day 3 results

The first six games of day three of the Sonic Shootout are completed with only the girls’ and boys’ champions still to be named.

In the consolation game, Harpeth Hall defeated Lebanon 61-51 to capture third place.  Bailey Sells, who was named to the All Tournament team, led Lebanon with 12 points.  Raleigh Potts and Shelby Nutter received All Tournament honors for Harpeth Hall.  Potts finished the game with 19 points while Nutter tallied eight.

The boys’ third place winner was Livingston Academy who defeated Cannon County 58-51.  Zander Miller was named All Tournament from the Wildcats and Austin Martin was named from the Lion team.

The girls’ fifth place finisher was Warren County, who defeated Portland 61-53.  They were led by Saydee Winfree with 25 points.  Portland got 16 points each from Cristie Herrera and Alysa Chatman with 16 each.

It took three overtimes to decide the fifth place finisher on the boys’ side.  Lake County defeated Warren County 89-87 led by the 30 points of Jamario Jones.  Warren County was led by Trevor Gaines with 24 points.

McMinn County girls’ defeated Cannon County 64-41 in the girls’ seventh place game.  McMinn was led by Ebony Kelley with 15 points.  Maleah Scott paced Cannon County with 21 points.

Howard defeated Tullahoma 53-38 for seventh place on the boys’ side.  Marquez Williams paced the winners with 12 points.  Nic Bartold poured in 20 for the Wildcats of Tullahoma.
