White County High School Soccer Beats Bledsoe County

White County High School ladies’ soccer team defeated visiting Bledsoe County by a score of 4-2.  Madison Correa led the Warriors with two goals on the night.  Grace Jones and Katie Anderson each scored one goal each to help seal the win.  (By JERRY LOWERY)

 WCHS warriors bye week needed

The White County High School Warriors’ bye week has been needed to heal up some minor injuries and a much needed rest for the team. The Warriors will crank it back up on the regular game week schedule as they prepare for the final four games of the season.  They travel to Livingston, on Oct. 11.  Livingston is 7-0 on the season and beat DeKalb County 31-0 last week.  Clay County is next on the schedule.  Clay is 6-1 and beat Pickett County last week 45-0.  Macon County is game nine for the Warriors.  Macon beat Stone Memorial 16-6 last week and the final opponent scheduled is Goodpasture.  Goodpasture is 3-4 on the season and lost to Franklin Road Academy last week by a score of 48-13.   (By JERRY LOWERY)

White County High School volleyball headed for district tournament play

The White County High School volleyball team travels to Cookeville, on Oct. 7, to begin district tournament play.  The first game will be against Warren County.  This is a much needed win to be able to continue in the district tournament.  Results will be in the Thursday edition of The Expositor.  (By JERRY LOWERY)

Tullahoma wins CTC Conference Championship

Tullahoma defeated Coffee County in the CTC Football Championship, on Oct. 5.  The Wildcats from Tullahoma found themselves down 13-12 in the fourth quarter.  After a fumble on a fake punt by Coffee County, the Wildcats took over with great field position.  Tullahoma’s running back Fazion Snipes found his way into the end zone to score the touchdown that put Tullahoma ahead.  Tullahoma scored two touchdowns in the last four minutes to take the win.  The White County Middle School Warriors’ only two close losses were from the two teams playing in the championship game.
