2 passengers airlifted to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville

A crash that occurred April 29 near the intersection at McDonald’s Restaurant, on Highway 111, caused injuries that sent two female passengers to a Nashville medical facility.

According to a preliminary incident report by Trooper Jacob Groce, of Tennessee Highway Patrol, Samantha York, 25, of McMinnville, was traveling northbound, on State Highway 111, driving a 2020 Chevy Equinox.

 Irene McNeil, 67, of Sparta, who was driving a 2017 Nissan Murano, was traveling across the intersection.

According to the report, the vehicles made contact inside the intersection. York’s vehicle came to rest in the roadway. McNeil’s vehicle came to rest outside the trafficway, in the median.

York suffered minor injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt.  A 9-month-old male who was a passenger in York’s vehicle was not injured.

McNeil suffered minor injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt. However, two female passengers in her vehicle, who were 74 years old and 60 years old, were both transported by air medical to Skyline Medical Center, in Nashville.

According to the report, THP officials have spoken with one witness at the scene but would like to hear from other individuals who might have seen the crash.
