Subject allegedly gained unlawful entry into a Doyle home

A White County man was shot and killed around 2:30 a.m., July 2, 2021, after he allegedly gained unlawful entry into a home on Tennessee Avenue, in Doyle.

According to District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway, a preliminary investigation states Landry Brady Adkison, who was born in 1973, reportedly made entry into the front door of the Tennessee Avenue residence at which time the homeowner shot him. According to Dunaway, Adkison was found dead in the living room of the residence when law enforcement officers arrived.

Dunaway said the investigation is not yet complete. Adkison’s body has been sent for an autopsy.

Dunaway has requested an investigation by the Tennessee Bureau Investigation. White County Sheriff’s Office was also at the scene.
