Alfidene was born Sept. 5, 1940, in Smithville, to Shelie Pedigo and Nannie Mae Dunn Pedigo.

She was a former beautician and will remembered by many as helping run her family’s business, Highway 70 Market. She was a part of a gospel singing quartet. She loved to sing gospel music and cook, but, more importantly, she loved being a great-grandmother to her great-granddaughters.

Survivors include her son, Michael Eugene Luna and wife Marty; grandson, Michael Lynn Luna and wife Brooke; great-granddaughters, Gracy, Addison, and Avery Kate Luna; and three sisters-in-law, Midge Taylor, Jo Luna, and Pearl Luna.

Private graveside service was 2 p.m., Nov. 25, 2022, at Plainview Cemetery. Mike Holman officiated.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Kindred Hospice and Alfidene’s special caregiver, Lori Shean.
