Ann M. (Batts) Patterson, 86, of Shelbyville, passed away Jan. 15, 2022, at Lynchburg Nursing Center.
Ann was born July 25, 1935, in Ashland City, to Henry Floyd Batts Sr. and Salome Smith Batts Sanders.
She was a member of the Cheap Hill Church of Christ. Before retiring, Ann worked in bookkeeping and sales at Harveys and Castner-Knott department stores. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jimmy S. Batts; and sister, Gayle Barber.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jim Patterson; son, Joe Evans; daughters, Beverly A. Peralta (Allen), Robin S. Johnson (Allen); grandchildren, Heath Young (Crissy), Jarred Young (Natasha), Brandy Graves (Shawn), Elizabeth Gentry (Justin), Kyle Stovall (Beth), Brad Evans, Justin Evans (Brittany); multiple great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jo Jackson, Hope E. Duke; brother, H.F. (Glenda) Batts Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Jan. 20, 2022, at Cheatham County Funeral Home, with burial in Will-Smith Cemetery, in Ashland City. Jarred Young will officiate. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Jan. 20, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Heath Young, Jarred Young, Brad Evans, Justin Evans, Shawn Graves, and Kyle Stovall.
Memorial donations may be made to Will-Smith Cemetery.
