It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Belinda Janan Wallace who left this world, on April 11, 2025, at the age of 66, after a courageous three-year battle with ovarian cancer.

Born in Sparta, Tennessee, on May 7, 1958, Janan was the daughter of Clifford Templeton and Martha Glenn Templeton.

Janan lived a life marked by compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She faced every challenge - including her illness - with grace, resilience, and a quiet determination that inspired everyone who knew her.

Janan worked for many years as a bank teller and later as a senior teller at First National Bank of Tennessee, a job she deeply loved. She cherished her time there and held a special fondness for all of her co-workers, many of whom became friends. She also worked several years for White County and spent many years at Woodland Park Elementary School, where she made lasting friendships and touched the lives of many.

Her bright personality shone through in everything she did - from her vibrant clothing to her ever-stylish hair and colorful nail designs. Janan had a way of bringing light and joy into any room, not just with her appearance but with her warm heart and infectious laugh. She was the kind of person you could always count on - someone who showed up without hesitation in times of need, offering comfort, strength, or simply a listening ear.

She especially loved going on cruises with her beloved husband, Jerry. Together, they explored countless destinations, and she delighted in every part of the journey, especially the shopping. Whether it was a bustling port market or a charming boutique tucked away in a far-off city, she had a knack for finding the perfect treasures. She found joy in shopping for all the things, always on the lookout for the best deal and the most thoughtful, meaningful presents for those she loved and cared for. Her adventurous spirit, generous heart, and joy in discovering new places were just a few of the many things that made her so special.

Janan also had a love for basketball. Whether it was local schools, college, or pro, she was always watching a game - cheering passionately from the bleachers or the couch and keeping up with scores like a true fan. Her enthusiasm was contagious, and you always knew when her team was playing.

Janan was a beloved wife, mother, grandparent, daughter, friend, and guiding light to so many. She found joy in shopping for all the things at the best deal for all of those she loved and cared.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Clifford Hudson Templeton and Martha Elizabeth Glenn Templeton, and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rachel Gaither Wallace and Edward C. Wallace.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Wallace, of Sparta; two daughters, Kendra (Jenny) Wallace, of Ashland City, Diana (Bryan) Dodd, of Lansing, Kansas; granddaughters, Dayven and Aeslynn; brother, Quinn (Joy) Templeton, of Quebeck; two nieces, Megan (Michael) Rabius, Maria (Austin) Tolbert; nephew, Josh (Madison) Templeton; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Wallace.

Funeral service was noon, April 17, 2025, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, in Woodbury. Daniel Bray officiated.

Although Janan and Jerry made their home in Sparta, it was their shared wish before marriage that they would one day be laid to rest together in Woodbury, where Jerry was born and raised. It brings comfort to know one day they will be reunited there, just as they planned - with love and intention.

Oak Lawn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
