Cecil Ray Anderson, 85, of Cookeville, and a native of Sparta, passed away June 21, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Cecil was born Jan. 4, 1937, in Sparta, to Herbert Anderson and Lela Arnold Anderson.
His work career began at Western Auto, in Sparta, and he retired as vice president of marketing for United Dairy Farmers, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Cecil was a veteran of the United States Army, and he served as a deacon at Eaton Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ellen Thompson Anderson, who died March 5, 2013, and his brother, Gene Anderson.
Survivors include his two sons, Stan Anderson and wife Michelle, of Ohio, David Anderson, of Cookeville, and three grandchildren, Zachary Anderson, Ashton Anderson, and Michael Anderson.
Graveside service was 1 p.m., June 23, 2022, at Highland Cemetery, with full military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
