Clayta Estelle Spicciati, 78, of Sparta, passed away March 22, 2021.

Mrs. Spicciati was born Oct. 4, 1942, in the Old Zion community of White County, to Henry Clay Wilson and Estelle Jones Wilson.

A loving wife and mother, Mrs. Spicciati was also a dedicated nurse, graduating from Baptist School of Nursing, in 1963. Her nursing career spanned 50 years, working in Milwaukee and later in Sparta. Her generous nature was shared with many dear friends through the years, and neighbors in need could always depend on her to be available for them.

An outdoor person by nature, she loved flowers, gardening, and camping. Mrs. Spicciati was an avid reader, with many hobbies, including crocheting, sewing, and crafting.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Joe K. Wilson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Carlo Joseph “Chuck” Spicciati; daughter, Pamela Jo Spicciati, of Sparta; son Joseph Clay (Sandy) Spicciati, of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Thomas Carlo (Caitlin) Spicciati, of San Antonio, Texas, Samantha Jo Spicciati, of Minot, North Dakota; great-grandchildren, Quinten E.Z. Spicciati, Casen Carlo Spicciati; brothers, H.C. Wilson (Twila), of Cookeville, Ronnie Wilson (Connie), of Sparta, Guy Wilson (Brenda), of Sparta; sister, Jane Wilson-Mitchell (Almont), of Whiteville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
