Contrasts on the political front

The Right Stuff

Posted

I am sorry I missed the deadline last week for submitting my article and lost a valuable pre-election chance to talk with you. But, looking around, I see we are all back this week, so let’s get started.

Starting with the twin debates - the first and most outstanding question I have is if these two could go on a debate stage the same night with different channels, why couldn’t they have done the debate as scheduled?  Pondering on that, Joe Biden acquitted himself rather well I thought in his easy-going interview with George Stephanopolous. He put his sentences together well, didn’t seem to lose his train of thought, and, while he wasn’t challenged, neither did he seem to be unable to cope with a challenge. So, what is going on here? I have seen Joe Biden seemingly completely overwhelmed by the effort to answer an easy question, and, at one of his early interviews, he mumbled off into incoherent mumbling.  Does President Trump have a point when he says they should both take drug tests?

President Trump’s town hall debate was far more challenging, with Savannah Guthrie seemingly determined to knock Trump off his game. The president kept his cool, remained unruffled even when challenged, and ended the night well. Did you notice when Guthrie asked Trump to renounce white nationalist and then commented repeatedly that Trump seemed less than enthusiastic in his response to the question? Trump very rightly pointed out that he had been denouncing white nationalists for years, to no avail. He even pointed out that he had joined Ross Perot’s party back in the day but resigned when David Duke signed up. Chris Wallace asked Trump to denounce white nationalists at the first debate, and, after the debate ended, someone had pulled the footage from two years ago when Wallace had asked Trump the exact same question. With Trump,, they only have three avenues of attack: Trump’s a racist, Trump’s not nice to women, and Trump doesn’t pay his taxes. So, they must do what they can to muddy the water enough to make these things stick.

But, the big question for me is apparently Joe Biden can handle the rigors of debate, so why cancel the second debate? The only reason I could think of is if you listened and watched closely during the first debate, Joe occasionally lost his way. Whether it was the pressures of the debate or what, VP Biden may not be able to keep his thoughts together when hotly pursued, and that is why his camp jumped at the chance to cancel debate number 2. There is no doubt about it, Joe has come a long way from those first few friendly interviews months ago where he lost his way. I really wonder why? It might be that they believe their own polls that former VP Biden is ahead, so why take a risk?

Surfacing this week also were the emails of Hunter Biden addressing agents of various foreign governments about how they could “influence” Joe Biden. For Hunter, this seemed to involve large amounts of cash safely delivered for a no-show job. Almost unremarked upon was that John Kerry’s (He fought in Viet Nam you know) stepson was also a member of Hunter’s investment firm that handled the millions and billions of dollars Hunter Biden accumulated.

So these two, Biden and Chris Heinz, along with Devon Archer, started an investment firm named Rosemont Seneca, and the Chinese laundered their donations to these Democrat influencers by calling it an “investment” in their company. All of these facts, along with much more information, come from Peter Schweizer’s book “Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends.” Why would Chris Heinz, who is heir to a huge fortune on his own, feel the need to betray his country and act in such an unscrupulous way? I guess that greed would be the reason?

When you put this together, with the lately revealed emails presumably from Hunter Biden’s laptop, things begin to fall into place. Several times, emails would mention that 10 million would be held by Hunter for the “big guy.” Oh, and the story of how the laptop came into Rudy Giuliani’s hands? The computer repair shop owner was given the laptop by Hunter Biden to repair the machine, and Hunter, according to the repair shop, was completely wasted when he showed up! After 60 days, the shop has a posted policy that if you don’t pick up your computer and pay your repair bill, your laptop becomes the shop’s to sell and pay your repair bill. According to both the shop owner and Rudy, that computer shop owner called in Rudy because when he began to look into the laptop to determine what needed deleting prior to sale, what he saw was very concerning to him. Afraid who might come looking for the laptop and wanting it out of his shop, he called Rudy to come get it. Rudy claims he informed the FBI of this quite a while ago, yet they have done nothing to authenticate its contents. So, the corruption at the FBI continues under Christopher Wray.

One hears Democrats talking about what a nice man that Joe Biden is. But when you begin to dig into his background, the picture emerges of a man selling out his country. And all of Joe Biden’s glad-handing and schmoozing won’t take away the image of his son extracting billions more of Chinese money for dear old Dad! Is that the work of a nice man?

Can you imagine the national security implications of a Joe Biden presidency? Do you realize the Bidens have not denied the mails and the laptop was theirs? Joe Biden’s carefully worded statement said only that Joe’s “official schedule” did not show a scheduled meeting between Joe and the official. They didn’t deny the meeting might have happened, just like they don’t deny the laptop is theirs.

So, go vote! Don’t wait until the last minute and then get caught out of town or something. Vote as soon as you can. And remember, we need to throw every Democrat out we can find if we want President Trump to have the votes in the House and Senate to pursue these allegations and much more. This year, more than most, our fate hangs in the balance. Take a family member, a family friend and make sure you do your part to get out the vote. Now, more than ever, our fate as a nation may hang in the balance this year.
