Crash near Bon Air Market

At approximately 12:20 p.m., June 7, 2021, emergency services personnel were dispatched to the scene of a crash, on Crossville Highway, near Bon Air Market.

According to a report by Trooper Thompson Cole Stickler, of Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2005 Ford Focus, driven by Phillip Moore, 19, of Cookeville, was traveling west, on US 70 around the 6000 block and was reportedly attempting to turn into a driveway.

Maddie Bernabie, 22, of Crossville, who was driving a 2010 Jeep Wrangler, was traveling west on US 70 and reportedly ran into the rear of the Ford Focus.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

According to the report, a 17-year-old was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Moore. Neither Moore nor the passenger were injured. Both subjects were wearing their seat belts.

Bernabei was not injured and was wearing her seat belt.
