Crash near Ravenscroft Road involves out-of-town drivers

Both drivers involved in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 7:16 a.m., June 2, 2022, were injured, with the extent of the injuries not known at this time.

White County E-911 records indicate the crash occurred at US 70 and East Ravenscroft Road.

According to a report from Tennessee Highway Patrol, Michael Clement, 39, of Shelbyville, was traveling westbound on US 70, driving a 2006 Audi AA6.

Deborah Richardson, 60, of Crossville, was traveling eastbound on US 70, driving a 2016 Honda CRV.

According to the report, Clement’s vehicle came into Richardson’s lane of travel. Richardson attempted to maneuver to avoid the crash. Clement’s vehicle then struck Richardson’s vehicle in the front end. Clement’s vehicle was disabled and rolled down an embankment off the right side of the highway. Richardson’s vehicle came to a final rest in the westbound lane and was also disabled.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

According to the report from THP, Clement has been charged with driving on revoked license (second offense), financial responsibility, and failure to maintain lane.
