CRMC asks public to not use emergency room for routine tests due to rise in COVID cases

Posted

Cookeville Regional Medical Center is experiencing rising COVID-19 hospitalizations and increasingly crowded conditions and is asking the public to stop using emergency rooms for routine tests. In order not to delay care for individuals with emergency situations, visit other testing sites including local drug stores and clinics. COVID-19 PCR testing is available at the fairgrounds every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8-10 a.m. Self-test kits are distributed every Tuesday and Thursday from 8-10 a.m. at the fairgrounds as well.

As of Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, there are 52 COVID-19 positive patients in house. Nine of those are in the ICU, with three of those vented.
