Darlene Jackson, 63, of Sparta, passed away Jan. 10, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 27, 1958, in Sparta. She was the daughter of Arlen Dillard Rice and Irene Martin Deem.
She was a member of East Sparta Church of God. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Maynard, and stepfather, Butch Deem.
Survivors include her husband, Dwight Jackson, of Sparta; daughter, Traci Whitaker and fiancé, Brent Marsh, of Sparta; sons, Devin Howser, of Cookeville, Brien Jackson (Kristin), of Knoxville, Scott Howser (Krystal), of Sparta; mother, Irene Deem, of Sparta; grandchildren, Valerie Howser, Addyson Whitaker, Scarlett Jackson, Adam Reneau, Taylor Reneau; sisters, Denise Roberson (Tim), of Sparta, Belinda Crain (Nathaniel), of Sparta, Melavie Heath, of Sparta, Karen Maxwell, of Sparta, Donna Shera (Chris), of Sparta, Debra Miller (Ronnie), of Sparta; brothers, Bennie Heath (Veronica), of Lebanon, Eddie Parrish, of Cookeville; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Jan. 14, 2022, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Pastor Charles Dotson will officiate. The family will welcome friends 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Jan. 14, at the funeral home.
