BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Dates for the 2020-21 Ohio Valley Conference Championships have been announced.

The OVC Rifle Championship (February 6-7) will be the first to be contested and the championship schedule will conclude with the OVC Baseball Championship (May 27-29). All dates and locations are subject to change.

  • Rifle - February 6-7 (Morehead, Ky.)
    • Cross Country - March 1 (Clarksville, Tenn.)
    • Basketball - March 3-6 (Evansville, Ind.)
    • Volleyball - April 1-2 (TBD Campus Site)

    • Baseball - May 27-29 (TBD)

Due to timing and structural challenges associated with the Indoor Track and Field Championships, the OVC Council of Directors of Athletics recommended and the OVC Board of Presidents supported not holding a conference championship in that sport this year. The action will not preclude any interested institutions from competing in regular season indoor track and field events. Additionally, this action will allow the Conference to focus on its Cross Country Championship (March 1) and the Outdoor Track and Field Championship (May 13-15).

Additionally, due to challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, it was previously decided that field sizes for some OVC Championships will be reduced as a one-year measure only. Team sports moving to smaller championship fields are women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's and women's tennis, softball and baseball.

The field size in the sports which do not conduct a regular conference season (cross country, men's and women's outdoor track and field, rifle and men's and women's golf) will not have their field size reduced. Due to existing contractual obligations, the fields for the men's and women's basketball championships will remain at eight teams.
