David Daniel Parks, 59, of Sparta, passed Sept. 23, 2022, at his residence.
David was born Nov. 18, 1962, in Rifle Range, Florida. He was the former owner and operator of the Rock and Stone Yard located on the White and Cumberland County line. He was an avid camper and fisherman. He enjoyed going to concerts and listening to music while enjoying a cold beverage.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Dean Spivey Parks Brady, and father Willard "Sonny" Parks; brothers, Robert and Jimmy Parks; and beloved family friend, Malcolm Frazier.
Surviving family members left to cherish his memory include his wife of nearly 30 years, Trish Parks; two sons, Isaac Parks, Darius Parks; grandchildren, Tobias Parks, Skyy Bertram, Cody Bertram; sisers, Sandy (Moose) Frazier, Gail (Charlie) Meadows, Brenda (Buddy) Nash, Donna (Bob) Ogo, Marlene (Kelly) Hunter; brother, Malcolm Parks; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was 1 p.m., Sept. 27, 2022, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Smith Chapel Cemetery. Ralph Reagan officiated.
Thomas Henderson, Sam Henderson, Shane Henderson, Darius Parks, Josh Pack, and Isaac Parks served as pallbearers.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
