David Donald Graham passed away May 3, 2025, at NHC Healthcare of Sparta.

David was born March 21, 1948, in Harriman, to Robert and Mabel Yott Graham.

He attended BonDeCroft school through 8th grade and was a 1966 graduate of White County High School.

David served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1969 in Vietnam and later served 30 years in the Tennessee National Guard.

Mr. Graham’s service to the community continued as a board member for the Veterans Museum of White County.

Mr. Graham spent most of his career as a factory worker, with his longest tenure at Perdue Farms, in Monterey. David also kept a small farm with cattle and gardens.

Mr. Graham was an avid runner, winning the Sparta 5K, in 1990. He loved music and history, particularly military history.

David was a member of DeRossett Church of Christ, in Sparta, and Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ, in Cookeville.

Mr. David Graham is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joan Hennessee Graham; daughters, Patricia (Ed) Bush and Julie (Joey) Brymer; and brother, Richard (Katherine) Graham.

Graveside service honoring Mr. Graham will be held 2 p.m., May 17, 2025, at Old Bon Air Cemetery, with Andy Brewster officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Veterans Museum of White County, 5 Liberty Square, Sparta, Tennessee 38583 in honor of David Graham’s life.
