David Harold Price, 75, of Sparta, passed away Nov. 27, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Price was born June 8, 1946, in Sparta, to Marin Odell and Winnie Thelma Moore Price.
His work career spanned from tool and die to working in a factory and drywall. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed farming, bird hunting, and working on cars in the shop. Mr. Price served in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald Lee Price.
Surviving family members include his daughter, Susie Horton and husband John; three sons, David Price and wife DeLeesa, Josh Price, Matt Price; grandchildren, J.R. Horton, Andrew Price, Samuel Price, Charlie Price, Rayna Randolph, Aubrey Randolph, Elizabeth Price, Vincent Price, Ivory Price, Ethan Price; sister, Evelyn Greene and husband Arville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Dec. 1, 2021, at Hunter Funeral Home. Richard Key will officiate. Full military honors will be administered by the Veterans’ Honor Guard. Burial will follow in Saylors Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m., Nov. 30, at the funeral home.
Arville Greene, Dewayne Greene, Mickey Greene, Ralph Sims, Loyd Howell, and Tim Roberson will serve as pallbearers.
