Dudley Clark Jr., 97, of Stuart Virginia passed away at his home, on April 11, 2025.
Dudley was born Oct. 30, 1927, in Sparta, to Dudley Clark and Eno Mae Dodson Clark. Prior to his Stuart residence, Dudley lived in Richmond, Indiana, and Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.
Dudley retired from Alcoa Aluminum as a maintenance mechanic. His many years also found him as a car salesman, appliance and HVAC sales and repairman, auctioneer, and tractor and farm implement dealer.
A military veteran, Dudley served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Gunason, in World War II. During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army, at Fort Richardson, in Alaska. In retirement, Dudley enjoyed card games with friends and family, golfing, and raising his garden so he could give most of it away. He was also known to participate in a practical joke on occasion, if the opportunity arose. His most satisfying time was spent helping others. He was active with Habitat for Humanity, in Wilson County, Tennessee, and later with the Patrick County Food Bank for 19 years, working well into his 90’s. Dudley was also active with his church family, Stuart Presbyterian.
In addition to his parents, Dudley was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Anna Marie Clark; an infant daughter, Nancy Ann Clark; one brother, Harvie J. Clark; and two sisters, Anna Lee (Clark) Swindle and Dorothy M. Clark Graham.
