Edna “Earlene” McCormick, 89, of Sparta, passed away Jan. 19, 2021, at NHC Healthcare of Cookeville.
Mrs. McCormick was born Oct. 28, 1931, to Silas and Elsie Luna.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sparta.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCormick was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Willie C. “Bill” McCormick; their son, Larry McCormick; and siblings, Buford Luna, Leona Roberts, and Jammie Luna.
Survivors include her son, Allan McCormick (Becky); daughter,
Tracy Burnette (Tim); grandchildren, Brad McCormick, Brian McCormick, Tyler Burnette, Tanner Burnette; sisters, Ovean Phifer, Dinky Adcock; brother, Danny Luna; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Due to COVID, a celebration of life will be held around the end of May or early June, at First Baptist Church of Sparta.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
