Edna Luna Rhoton, affectionately known by family and close friends as Neve, 89, of the Cassville community of White County, passed away July 12, 2021, at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital, in Nashville.
Mrs. Rhoton was born June 24, 1932, in White County, to William Ernest Luna and Lucille Turner Luna.
She was retired from Wagner. Mrs. Rhoton enjoyed working in her yard, always keeping her flowers and yard in immaculate condition. She liked watching television and scheduling her day around her favorite show, “The Bold and The Beautiful.” She loved spending time with her family and traveling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Verble J. "Bug" Rhoton, who died June 29, 2005; five brothers, William Oakley Luna, Guy Luna Jr., Charles McMillian Luna, Leslie E. Luna, B.K. Luna; sisters-in-law, Joanne Luna, Alice Jane Luna; brother-in-law, Eddie Taylor; and niece, Guylene Luna Vinson.
Mrs. Rhoton leaves behind her beloved sister, Virginia "Midge" Luna Taylor; sisters-in-law, Jo Luna, Pearl Luna, Alfidene Luna; niece, Kristi Hutchings; and nephews, Gary Luna, Michael Eugene Luna, Tony Luna, Chris Luna, and Stephen Luna.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., July 15, 2021, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Plainview Cemetery in the Cassville community of White County. Patty Zornow and Chris Reagan will officiate. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., July 14, at the funeral home.
Gary Luna, Chris Luna, Michael Luna, Stephen Luna, Tony Luna, Derrick Hutchings, and Jacob Matthews will serve as pallbearers.
