Edwina Bumbalough Hutson, 83, of Sparta, passed away Jan. 31, 2024. at NHC Healthcare of Sparta.
Mrs. Hutson was born Nov. 8, 1940, in Sparta, to Riley J. and Mary Belle Clouse Bumbalough.
She was a retired garment factory sewing supervisor. She loved gardening and being outdoors with her flowers. She also enjoyed sewing when she was not at work. Many family members will remember all the quilts she made over the years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn H. Hutson, who died March 8, 2006; sister, Christina Bumbalough Dunham and husband David; and brother Arlin Bumbalough and wife Lois.
Survivors include her son Jeff Hutson and wife Stephanie; grandchildren who fondly knew her as Ma Hutson: Lindsay Brooke Hutson, Braxton Wade Hutson; special friend, Dawn Jones; nieces, Kathy Goff and husband Benny, Kim Mills and husband James; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family.
Funeral service was 1 p.m., Feb. 3, 2024, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Doug Goff and Robert Burton officiated.
Braxton Hutson, Landon Evans, Lanny Selby, Jessie Buttrum, Richard Taylor, and Kirk Young served as pallbearers.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
