Focusing on getting their goods from leading manufacturers, the business promises to provide specialty brands at a much lower price than regular retail value.
Operating in Sparta for nearly 20 years, the store offers a wide array of brands in junior, misses, plus, men’s, accessories, and shoes categories. Starting mostly as a jean focused store, they have diversified their catalogue to suit as many shoppers’ needs as possible. The versatility of their catalogue is one of their biggest strengths in a smaller market like Sparta.
Store manager Michele believes that towns like Sparta are the most valuable markets, even to a chain like Factory Connection.
“It’s a beautiful place, and it’s not hectic. It’s just peaceful,” she said. “Everybody knows everybody because they have that close-knit community. It really helps out all the businesses.”
The business is also excited for the continued growth of the West Towne Plaza Shopping Center. With Five Below having opened last year and Bealls having opened in April, the area thrives as a hub for commerce for Sparta residents. Factory Connection has seen an increase in foot traffic in the area as a result, and they believe it will benefit not just themselves but all the surrounding businesses.
Factory Connection recently launched a VIP program for customers. On the business’s website at factory-connection.com, shoppers can get a free membership and reminders for coupons, member-only events, and advance notice of sales.
Factory Connection is open 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Saturday, and 1-6 p.m., on Sunday.
