On Aug. 1, 2022, members of Mt. Gilead, Doyle, and Central View volunteer fire departments came together to free a dog that had been trapped underneath a storage building for about 24 hours. Members utilized a hydraulic spreader to lift the building approximately three inches to allow room for the dog to escape.
