Frances Winnifred Phifer Dodson, 74, of Spencer, passed away Sept. 26, 2020, in Nashville.
Mrs. Dodson was born Jan. 6, 1946, in Helena, Arkansas, to Carl and Frances Phifer.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson. She loved attending auctions and crocheting and baking for her family and friends. Her favorite thing to do was hang out with her constant companion, her fury sidekick, Hoss.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dodson was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Kenneth Monroe Dodson; daughter, Cynthia Dodson; and brother, Raymond Phifer.
Survivors include her daughter, Rena (Marty) Roberts; son, Freddie Lee Dodson; adopted daughter, Natalie Johnson; grandchildren, Titus Logan Crawford, Madison Crawford; great-grandson, Liam Hunter Robinson; sister, Sherrie Smith and husband Brian, of Clermont, Florida; fury companion, Hoss; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 6 p.m., Sept. 29, 2020, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Sandra Vance will be the speaker. The family will receive friends from 3- 6 p.m., Sept. 29, at the funeral home.
