Danny Wilhite, 64, of Sparta, passed away peacefully, at his home, on June 3, 2022, surrounded by his family.
Born Aug. 11, 1957, in Sparta, he was the son of Joseph Wilhite and Mary Sorrell Wilhite.
Danny was a loving father and a great friend. He will be remembered as a hard worker who loved NASCAR and building and racing hot rods.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Sanders.
Surviving family include his wife, Melinda Cooper Wilhite, of Sparta; sons, Shad Wilhite, of Doyle, Steven Wilhite (Rachelle), of Sparta, Zachary Wilhite (Katie), of Palmer, Alaska; grandchildren,
Haylee Wilhite Lamb (Mitchell), of San Diego, California, Camron Wilhite, of Sparta, Owen Wilhite, of Sparta, Hannah Wilhite, of Palmer, Alaska; sisters, Carla Fisher (Gerald), of Sparta, Joette Kinnaird (John), of Sparta; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
