Frasier’s multiple talents in sports and media provide link to her future

Posted

Kate Frasier, a junior at White County High School, is the type of student that is leaving her mark on the lives of all those who are a part of her high school career.

“Kate Frasier is one of our White County High School students that the faculty and student body are very proud to claim as one of us,” WCHS faculty member Keith Brown said. “She is a wonderfully kind and compassionate young lady with a very bright future.”

Frasier, who has a 3.96 grade point average across all her classes, is a member of the school’s award-winning Warrior Media audio/visual program of study. She is also a member of the WCHS Student Council where she serves as the junior class treasurer. In addition, she is a two-sport student athlete as she is part of the WCHS cheer squad in the fall and winter and a member of the girls’ tennis team – playing both singles and doubles – in the spring.

As if keeping a great grade-point average and being a two-sport athlete doesn’t keep the WCHS junior busy enough, Frazier does office work in the school’s counseling department where she helps with the mounds of non-confidential paperwork that helps keep the school running.

After high school, Frazier plans to attend a four-year school where she would like to study marketing, with a goal of working in the electronic media realm some day. Working with the Warrior Media program will help Frazier prepare for that future, and she has a great piece to include on her college resume: During the 2021-2022 year, Kate received state recognition for her efforts in the production of Warrior Media’s spotlight on Down Syndrome.

While Frazier has another three semesters at White County High School, there is no doubt that both the memories she makes and the ones she creates for others will last much, much longer.
