Glass competes in TSSAA state golf tournament

One of the goals of every golfer as the season begins is to qualify the state tournament.  Jarrett Glass, a senior golfer for the White County High School Warriors, held that dream true to heart, and his dream became reality this past week as he competed in the state tournament, on Tuesday and Wednesday at Willowbrook Golf Course, in Manchester.

Glass’ two-day totals ended at 5 over par and placed him 19th in the state.  Warrior golf coach, Michael Cunningham stated, “I am proud of everyone’s effort this year.  We did not get where we wanted to be, but they battled, and we had some great showings this season.  This was a great group of young men to coach.  Jarret (Glass) is what a real Sparta Warrior is.  Jarrett is a class act on and off the course.  Jarrett gave everything he had for four great years.  I can only hope we have more young men like him in the future for Sparta Warrior golf.”  (By JERRY LOWERY)
