Golden Eagles pause baseball activities due to COVID-19, contact tracing protocols

Due to established COVID-19 and contact tracing protocols, Tennessee Tech Director of Athletics Mark Wilson announced Wednesday a pause for all team activities for the Golden Eagle baseball team.

The decision was made in accordance with Tennessee Tech University and Ohio Valley Conference protocols, with at least this weekend's road series at No. 2 Mississippi State affected by the pause. The three-game series in Starkville has been cancelled. 

A decision on the impact on Tech's OVC-opening series at Austin Peay Friday, Mar. 12 through Saturday, Mar. 13 will be determined at a later time. Tech Athletics and the Golden Eagle baseball program is following OVC, local and University public health guidelines to prioritize the health and safety of all student-athletes, coaches, staff and fans.
